Any body else experience this. I'm wondering if it's a bug or if i've just got the most surly, argumentative players anywhere!

Playing as Bishop's Stortford in Conference South, i seem to be picking up a booking for argueing with the ref every single game, sometimes more.

In fact, i swear, the following all happened in one 'event' (ie the clock didn't move)

Player X is furious with Mr. Referee.

Player X gets a lecture from Mr. Ref

Player X is furious with the Mr. Referee.

Mr. Referee is reaching for a card here - its yellow!

Player X is furious with the Mr. Referee.

Mr. Referee is reaching for a card here - its yellow!

Thats his second yellow! Player X is off!

I mean really! How stupid can a player be!

Sounds familiar. To make it even worse, fining a player after the exact incident you described got me sacked.

It can be an advantage when player x is already on a yellow and does a bad foul (you go "oh boll..."), only for player y to come along and distract the ref by swearing at him, allowing x to run back to his defence, while y takes the wrath of ref (say 3 times fast) and the inevitable booking.

I've gotten the same thing in CM03/04, actually. Then the player whined when I fined him, too.

Ah, that scenario seems gloomily familiar to me. Playing in Brazil (where the SI scouts seem to think everyone is a temperamental twat liable to argue with the ref about ANYTHING) in 03/04 was desperate in this regard and the little I've played of FM so far indicates not much has changed.
