Although chances are dragging a club to from teh edge of dispear to premiership success seems near impossible in FM (which is a benefit as it makes the game more realistic)Surely it improves the game that if you are offered a job of interest and is better than one you already have, wouldnt you take it?

Sorry to bring up the real world, but it would be the same.A manager would jump at the chances to manage at a league side, and so would all non-league players. Makes it more realistic.

Do you believe moving to bigger clubs is a sign of natural progression?

Moving to a bigger club is natural progression if you've demonstrated the ability to succeed.

If you've tanked the club you had before, no.

And just to clarify, it does not violate the LLM ethos to accept jobs at larger clubs. If you have been a managing whiz, it is certainly possible (and acceptable) to accept offers from the cream of the Premiership, and therefore be playing as Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea or Everton in a LLM game. The key aspect as others have said is that if you feel your performance justifies the offer, then feel free to accept it. Based on what you have shared with us, I feel like you should jump at the chance to head to Cambridge. In any event, KUTGW!

Notice though that Liverpool() was left out of the list of potential candidates.

I think the ultimate goal is to be offered a job at one of the top clubs. It's nice to take the small club to the top, and I admit that I would think about job offers that come in, but I wont move on until I feel I cant take a side any further.

Saying that, I think I have only ever accepted one job offer

Being American and a relative newcomer to appreciating the phnomenon that is the Premiership, I based my listing of teams primarily on the current table IRL as well as the current deep pockets. Having said that, I will apologize to all Liverpool fans, and for that matter, supporters of all 16 Premiership teams that I did not mention in my first post. :o

Having made the politically correct apology, I am now free to comment... Liverpool? cream of the Premiership? Didn't know that FM could be considered a fantasy game!

You've missed the point, but as a newcomer I'll not blame you.

A certain mod here on the forums here once took on the job of Liverpool (a job he deserved after many years of toil and success) and took a bit of a ribbing for it. Hence, Liverpool() came about.

note: not the official version, which iajafer will come to spout off I'm sure.

Wasn't the key that moving to Liverpool( ) ruined the game for him by being ridiculously easy?

Gutted

Isn't that what we're all trying to do IRL?? Work hard so we can have an easy life towards the end?
