LLM looks like a real possabilty now thanks to FM2005, just started managing Margate and am looking forward to the challenge.

I agree, the game is looking good. They seem to have got the progression through the leagues right. I think the days of serial promotions are gone.

I managed to get Redbridge promoted via the play-offs at the first attempt, but then found Conf National harder going. Still, sitting mid table wasn't bad, and I was offered Bradford City who were bottom of League 1. Since I'm still trying out the game, I took the job.

I was shocked by how tough it was to get a win in League 1. I ended relegated and sacked, having managed just 3 wins and 2 draws in 24 games.

FM2005 = LLM Heaven for me.

argh i am sitting here trying to study for my last exam but all i can think about is getting my hands onto a copy of FM2005. It got released here yesterday but i made sure i didnt go out and buy it coz that woulda been exam failed!

Can't wait to be managing down in some decrepit scandinavian league. Or even India (hopefully i don't get Delhi Belly).

Lots of fun but heaps tougher, but I like the challenge of LLM in FM2005. My biggest challenge is the money side of things, very tight, small squad and wages over at start of game, but my aim is to just survive at this stage.

You won't get Delhi belli pappa_g, there's no football in Delhi! :p
(The vast majority of the clubs hail from Calcutta and Goa)

I've managed in India a few times - avoid the few super-rich clubs and try one of the tiddlers; there's a huge gulf in resources, a real LLM challenge!
