any recommendations for database size when playing LLM on FM2005 - i've started with a large database but am hardly finding any freebies when scouting - do we need to go huge or is scouting just a bit w@nk again?

I always* use the biggest database. Rather have fewer leagues loaded than fewer players to sign.

*Except for a quick Greek save on 03/04 while waiting for FM.

My scouts are currently not having any trouble finding freebies on 'Huge' database, but it's questionable as to how much that is related to the database size, or the country I'm playing in (Brazil, which has always had a shed load of players).

I have it on normal and my scout has only turned up a couple of freebies. It's still the first season though, so pickings are always a bit slim until people start getting released during the first close season.

Definitely recommend database size over number of leagues though. A small database is crippling for a llmer.

I was shocked at the number or greyed out players despite selecting the huge database.

I'm running a game with just the English leagues down to Conf N/S but a huge database. My lone scout is finding plenty of freebie players.

Larger database wins over more leagues from an LLM perspective.

12 Divisions from 6 countries with a Huge database on my South America test save.

So far it's flying... though I haven't reached competitive matches yet.
