New to the forums here but been a LLM since the old days of CM1
Just Finished the first season, narrowly beating Hornchurch to the title, only signed a reserve keeper (scout recommended) and 3 long term and 5 short term loan players (all listed for loan) Was surprised at how easy it appeared, I guess the basic squad at Lewes is pretty good. Was having a real problem getting in a decent Right Winger all season.
I've signed a winger now as scouted for and have a number of unattached players on trial to assess. Is this ok under the LLM Guidelines? Seems a reasonbly ok (i.e. realistic) thing to do.
Well I've not signed any of them yet as I wanted clarification.
It says it's ok in the Q&A if you don't employ scouts, but as I do employ scouts I thought it was dangerous (although potentially realistic) territory.
Maybe I'm missing what you're saying...entirely possible.
I suppose it is a greyish area, some people think it's okay as long as you take them on trial first or scout them first. I tend to stay away from the player search entirely. I use scouts, new messages, games against opponents, or nothing for me.
I've never used the player search to bring people in on trial. I tend to think of it as a loophole way around finding freebies. But that's just me. I think some zealots use it and scout them before signing them.
I guess if you don't have a scout it's okay, but with the job centre, scouts, albeit crap ones, can be found.

I assume it's within the ethics of the game to watch the highlights (or live match) of games that don't conflict with your own, as if you had gone to see the game yourself? Taking geography, timing etc into consideration, of course.
And TV games, as you could feasibly use them to scout players.
Also, how do other llamas stand on the looking at game stats / player ratings?
Scout has found vast swathes of unattached players, some of whom I've trialled and taken on, would've liked to take on more, but not enough cash. Now sitting in Mid-Table having just been soundly whooped by a couple of teams despite good ratings. Need time to gel I think.
Good bit of realism. Brighton i.e. the big team local to Lewes, made an enquiry about one of my decentish young players. Nice work SI.
