When I always take a lower league team no matter what league I expect them to be promoted the first season. And when I dont get that I get upset and see it as a failiure. Now it doesn't matter what the board expectations are but I feel that I'm very unpatient. I do continue to play though as I know it takes time to develop a team that can actually play consistent enough to get promoted. Are there any of you who feel the same way when you take over a lower league team? And what do you think is success for you?

An the worst thing is I always tell myself I'll take my time and won't get upset by a loss. Since I'm a very temperamental person when it comes to CM that's very hard to avoid getting upset. But also I must say that I love the lower leagues. I don't remember playing with a big club anymore it disgusts me :o

Finally... I thought it was just me!!!

Your problem, like mine, is that you are a perfectionist... You want the best even if you have the worst... On one side of the coin, you want to build and develop your team and make it the best, at the same time, you want that developing team to thrash the pants off everyone they play! I bet you even expect to win ALL you friendlys and when you get that big payday again higher team, at the beginning, you don't mind losing 1-0 so long as you put up a good show... You put up a good show, lose 1-0 and think to yourself.... "Hmmm... we could have won that..."
Don't worry about it Telstar... just keep playing the way you do and call yourself the Fergie* of LLM (or equivilant...)

* Excuse the naming of a manager.. not sure if that is allowed...

Friendlies are fine. And mostly what ****es me off is losing to a team that is last on the league table that's when I let it out. About friendlies I don't really mind since I test my team out. Especially like yesterday I'm leading against the first team at home 2-0 teams plays wonderful then my goalie passes to the opposite player and gets scored on from 45 yards!!!! and the game ends up 2-2 and costing me coming close to a promotion spot. And also for some reason I always want to win the first game of the season if I don't then I know I'll have a horrible time throughout the whole year.

Seems like that don't it?? Maybe it's because a bad result may cause you to change this around and it takes long for the team to settle were as if you won your first game, you'd probably leave things the way they were...
