I'm getting this error quite often - and it's starting to **** me off. Anyone know what this is? And how to fix it?

ONly thing I could say is to uninstall, defragment your drive, error check it, reinstall and reinstall the patche. Worth a try. It won't affect your save game in any way. Will still work but back it up just incase. Also, i'd always have rolling auto save on every two weeks. Will save alot of heart ache from my bitter experience....

i've had it once but not erally a problem. the game makes a backup save from the last place you saved

i suppose if it happened more often i'd be annoyed. i seem to remember fm05 used to crash regularly.

i've found no need for rolling saves as when the game crashes it automatically creates a back up save.
the save that crashed is unworkable but the backup works fine.
other reason is i save every few days anyway.
