I have had this game for ages but as of yet i have still not been able to use it. I gave up trying to install it ages ago but recently all my mates have bee telling me how amazing it is and i really, really, realy need to play this game. Here is my problem.

I start the installation program and it gets part of the way through then it just freezes and my pc crashes...I cant do anything not even move the mouse. Ive had no problem playing any other games or the last football manager but with this game it freezes at the same point everytime. I want to play this game soo bad. I have read all the advice and especially the thread from i think his name is 'Steve Cox' but i have tried to do that but it gives me one problem. I get to the setup.exe and then it says right click on fm.exe. but this option does not exist?? There is no fm.exe. Can someone please help me. I have to play this game.
Any advice would be great and appreciated.

If you could give a little more information it may help.

Is it a laptop or a desktop?

What version of Windows/Mac OS are you using?

If you are using Windows, are you logged in using an Administrative account or a Limited user?

Have you checked your hard drive/RAM for errors using software such as HD tune/chkdsk/Memtest?

Have you installed the latest version of Java?

Are there any other programs running whilst you are trying to install the game (i.e. downloading programs, mp3 players, anti-virus)?

Have you done a malware check recently using a reliable scanner?

Have you updated Windows with all of the available reliability updates?

Thanx for trying to help. I have tried most tings that you stated above and then i have also just tried the checks you suggested. Aswell as this i have tried to reduce my colour to 16bit and change my display back to classic. None of this has worked.

How come when i follow steve cox's advice there is no option of fm.exe in the folder?? Im sure i have follwed the instructions to the book.

I am running the game on a desktop and on windows xp. As far as im aware all my computer matches all of the minimum requirements and also most of the reccomeded ones...

Ive nearly given up again but the thought of finnally getting it to work is keeping me going...Please help...
