How do you offer a player, a player/staff contract, as i have cafu on my game who is interested in becoming a coach, but when i offer a new contract i can only offer him a playing only contract.

Check if he has non-playing stats. If not, you wont be able to offer him a coaching contract until he does.

He's probably just giving a hint of what he wants to do in the near future.

Yes, keep an eye on him, and tell him that he would make a good coach. Non-playing stats should apear at some point. probably at the end of his contract. Then you will be able to offer him a coaching contract.
