I have bought a player with blackburn, and he didn't get a work permit. So I send him on loan to belgium. It will take two years untill he gets the belgium nationality.

Is it possible to to apply for a work permit in the summer?

You won't be able to apply for a work permit until he either gets his Belgian citizenship or acquires a certain amount of international caps (I forget how many). If either of these happen in the summer, you should be able to do it. If not, you'll have to wait.

im glad this has come up, do you have to have a link with a work permit club before you can sign a player who doesnt get his work permit!!ive been losing out on millan because he cant get a work permit, but i remember on the last game it was still possible to sign players, can u still on this one??

@ hogan23, I think you need to have a link with a foreign club to be able to sign such a player. I haven't recieved a warning when signing this player that he wouldn't recieve a workpermit.



So I have to be patient I think?

yea once he get the belgian nationality he wouldnt need work permit anymore

You can apply again, offer him a new contract - if he agrees to it then it should tell you wether or not hes got one. You will probably have to wait though.
