I'm just wondering if there is any reason that every date on my team's calendar is unavailable when i go to create a friendly.

I am actually in the middle of my season (it's July, season runs May through September) in Iceland. Not that i would want to play a friendly right now, but at least i should have the option, no? Wouldn't mind trying to bring in some extra cash with such a small league season, by inviting a nice sized foreign club during July and early August.

I was able to play a friendly against my former club in South Africa in January during their regular season, but now all my dates are greyed out through the end of September (that's as far as my calendar goes).

I find that mid-season, or if I leave it too late in pre-season, other clubs have filled their schedules. If you want to arrange frindlies you have to get in quick in the pre-season, before the players return form the beach.

Mid-season, my friendlies are against my reserves and U19s.

This has nothing to do with having no TEAMS available.

I have no DATES available. Normally at the very least you could always arrange friendlies with your reserve team, no matter what part of the season it is.

I can only imagine it must be against the Icelandic league rules for some reason.

i had this one season in the german leagues. taking over at a new club i forgot to set the assistant to arrange friendly matches, and when trying to arrange them myself i found that every date was greyed out, even ones that other clubs were playing friendlies on

i've been able to arrange them in subsequent seasons, so i guess it was a bug

Well, this is my second season in charge at this club, thought i have only ever arranged one friendly, and it was against my former club earlier in this 2nd season. I use the League Cup as friendly matches, because the group stage guarantees 7 matches before the season starts and you're allowed 5 substitutions.

Ohwell...hopefully it will be resolved next season. Would like the challenge of playing against some EPL clubs next July.

I checked the editor, and HK do own their stadium. I had the idea that perhaps the stadium is leased, and therefore we don't have access to it besides FA-scheduled matchdays.

That would have been a nice detail on SI's part, if it were the case.
