Anyone seen an African team win the world cup?

I'm in 2062, and have seen an Asian winner (Iraq), and a North American winner (Canada), but never an African one.

The highest performers have been Nigeria (runners up 2038), Cameroon (3rd place 2050) and Morocco (3rd place 2062).

How've they done on your game?

You're talking about the same game that has England winning the Euro Cup 2008 in almost everyone's game?

Ivory Coast won the 2010 WC in my file. But England did win Euro 2008!

Was fairly quick in my game.

Nigeria won the 2010 version by beating England in the final. And you can't say they had an easy route to the final as they beat Italy in the QF and Brazil in the SF.

In one of my saves Cameroon won the 2010 world cup. But as it is set in S.Africa I suppose the African nations would have some advantage in terms of conditions.

the standard of african regens you get in the game tends to be pretty poor in my experience, so it seems unlikely that they'll be winning international tournaments 20 years into a game
