I was thinking to myself the other day how I haven't had any long term injuries yet during my time at my current club. Big mistake. My 20 year old star midfielder who is rated as a good championship player (I'm in league 2) who I stole from Reading on a bosman in the summer, making him the highest paid player at my cash strapped club, after playing two competitive matches has done his cruciate knee ligaments and will be lucky to play again this season. Needless to say I am devestated. The only positive I can draw from this is my team never got the chance to rely on him too much and I have another similar player who can attempt to fill the hole. Anyone got a worse story than that?

Forgot to mention that was on 07 lol but just got another one I have spent 4 years (in game obv lol) admiring Bojan so he wants to join my club but Barce wouldn't sell so he ended up coming on a bosman as he wouldn't sign a new contract he started the first game he was available for and broke a leg.

Mine was bad for a different reason. I managed to get Ben Sahar on a free transfer (he turned down Chelseas offer of a new contract, was without a club for 2 months then accepted a much lower offer from me...moron!) at Leeds. He was my top striker, firing me to the top of the Championship. That summer he was in the last year of his contract and he didn't want to talk about renewing his contract...typical...BUT in came Athletico Madid with money fresh from the Aguero sale! £20M!! I couldn't believe it, everything was done and dusted...then he broke his ankle. Out for three months...not so bad I thought. He returned from his injury and scored 5 in 7 for me then in mid-December he pulled his hamstring and was out until January 27th...and NO ONE WANTED HIM! He left on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Along came Real Madrid.

Dammit.

Having all 3 of my alotted Champions League Goalkeepers out injured. Luckily theres a rule about u18's being eligible without being registered so I played some random GK instead. Its fair to say he was useless and I lost in the Champions league semi final thanks to shoddy Goalkeeping.

What normally happens with me is that the game seems to wait for one of my players to hit top form (just before we play a title decider or something) then injures them.
Breaks my heart.

I got kind of lucky.

I'm in an online game and had delayed signing Mark Gonzalez, I really wasn't sure if he was what I needed. My first pick in the AML positon was Farfan.

Well, my internet connection failed for about 20 minutes, during which time my week delay passed and Gonzalez signed,I almost certainly would have cancelled and looked for a younger back up.

What happens next? Farfan gets injured for 4 months, Gonzalez steps in scores twice and assists once on his debut

I haven't yet experienced any injuries which effectively cancels out a whole season for a player, fingers crossed, I play online tonight.

I bet Gonzalez gets injured

I had a really bad one, I signed a 29 yr striker for a record fee($1M, was in a low league) and the day after he came he got injured for 6 months. When he finally came back he was carp, but I, foolishly enough, put him to hard training to get him back to his former glory. This caused him to get the same injury again, another 6 months out. He came back after that, and in his first game for my team a year after he was signed, he gets injured in the 10th minute, and another 6 months out, then he decided to retire because of injury......bloody hell!

I know i'm going to regret saying this, but so far in my current game i have not had any major injury problems. Maybe it's because the season is so short.
