Am I the only one who keeps experiencing lower league teams with some amazing pre-gens??
I play as Bath City in Blue Square South, which I admit is not the best league in the world.
But twice in the FA Cup Qualifying rounds, I have met some pretty nasty lower league teams, only consisting of pre-gens.
The first team, Whyteleaf, it was expected as a walk-over in the media ...I lost 4-1, while playing a very successful RuleOfOne tactics. I got furious and tried again ... and again. I kept getting run over by the team, so I checked their stats. If I could, I would have replaced every player on my team with theirs.
I finally managed to win in attempt 4 or 5 ..and on to next round, where Carshalton was waiting. Although not a sure win prediction, they were still a pre-gen team from a non-active league.
So I play my normal away tactics, and gets beaten again ...and again ...and again. Even my tactics I would reserve for higher-league teams, they are pulling me apart.
After 30 min. they have had 6 shots on goal (4 on target) and only great play by the keeper keeps me in the game. My number of chances ... 0 (zero!!).
I check their team ...great stats by most players (especially midfield and frontline), and all except keeper and defence are between 16 and 20, and each waaaay better than any player I can get.
It just seems like the pre-gen teams are often way too good. Basically most of their players should suck bigtime.
I am not saying that I should win every time, automatically. But I should also not lose every game against a side of pre-generated teenagers.
