Has anyone ever managed to produce good talent from their youth academy?

I Have top class facilities etc but all I get are players around the 90-140 PA area.

I've never had talent come up through the ranks. I'm currently in 2014 with West Brom. We're winning just about every trophy, have top-notch training facilities, and etc., and my best PA-judging scouts say that my best regens will only be decent in Championship usually.

I've heard that producing a class player through your own youth acadamy is very rare, however I also hear that regens are not as good as the real players that retire, so not even AI managed sides are producing as much quality as you might expect.

surely that would mean each generation gets worse and worse, so if you went through enough generations (hudereds of years worth) you would end up with conference-class players in the prem?

On very rare occassions a good youth player will be generated at your club.

I am playing as Rangers in the SPL and had one 16 year old player with CA 76 and CA 183, described as next Kenny Dalglish.

Trouble was, I couldn't get his CA above 162, even with 6/7 star coaches and top class facilities.

I have also had several players with PA about 150 - 160.
