Ok, so one of my top players has just rejected my new contract offer in Favor of another club, and he is under 24 years old.
When i offered a new contract to him, it stated "player will leave for free unless a contract equal or greater terms are offered.
So i offered him a contract for about 3 times his current salary, expecting him still not to sign, but for me to get compensation when he signs the other contract, but it just says he is leaving on a free transfer, and the value is £0
His contract had less than 6months remaining I'm guessing? He will leave for free at the end of the season due to the Bosnan Rule.
You are also able to offer contracts to players who have less than 6months remaining to avoid paying transfer fees for him. Just that the player wont arrive until his contract is up.
