Anyone know if there is a maximum size of config.xml file that the game will read? I like to have pictures of all the regens. So, I grabbed 500 random pictures from this site: http://www.mzitalia.com/modules.php?name=FaceGenerator and applied them to the regens by ID number in this fashion:

pic1 to 2000000001
pic2 to 2000000002
.
.
pic500 to 2000000500
pic1 to 2000000501
.
.
pic500 to 2000000999
pic1 to 2000001000
etc.

Presto, every regen has a face (granted it may be the same face as 50 other guys but so far I haven't noticed anyone being a duplicate). 500 pictures applied to thousands of regens.

First, I did it all in one file but after about 60,000, the pictures wouldn't come up. I broke my 120,000+ lines into a second file but the second file only displayed about 30,000. Now I'm up to 4 directories and 4 .xml files but I don't want to have a huge number of xml files and directories if I don't have to. Also, is there a maximum number of pictures the game will allow?

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the knowledge. And, if anyone wants to have random faces for your regens, here's one way to go about it.

Windows limit is about 30,000 so you'll need less than that.

Not sure if the game has a limit or if the game loads/runs quicker having one/few large config files or many smaller ones.

If it doesn't work you can just cut and paste the lines into different config files and folders until they all work.

Thanks. I think I'll stick with about 30,000 lines per config.xml. That seems to be working. Also, since each config.xml is in it's own directory with the 500 picture files, that will allow me to use a different 500 picture files for that directory.
