No I am not being rude.

I would like to know this, I have downloaded 6 different balls. If I put all of these in the graphics folder, will FM just pick one of these at random, or only use one of them.

The graphics for the ball you want to display on the pitch need to go in a folder under graphics:

CDocuments and Settings\{user}\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics\pitch\balls

There should be a few files called ball_12.png, ball_13.png etc etc

If you want a different ball to display, just overwrite these graphic files
