Reducing Leagues

is there anyway of reducing the size of a league? like the premiership to only 10 clubs

I believe it is hardcoded...however on FM07 7.0.1 i managed to add teams to the Australian A-League without the game crashing. This is the only league i managed to make it work with and the only version of the game (eg 7.0.0 and 7.0.2 wouldn't work using the same method).
