Let's say I want to force Thierry Henry to sign with my club.

I put Barcelona as his disliked club and put my own club as his favourite club. What other things do I need to edit to make sure he joins my club?

put him transfer listed and not needed by the club, but depends on the rep of the team you are trying to bring him into. He won't ever sign with Dag & Red, if you are Blackburn, might work. You can also try lowering the players reputation as he might consider it a jump to move to your team.

o... I didnt consider to lower his rep.

I put him as transfer listed, -99 happiness and have a wage of 20k in his current club yet he always refuses my deal because "he has just recently joined Barcelona"

well recently joining a team will definately make a huge difference too
