I've heard somewhere(I really don't remember where) that there is a file or patch to make all players from the world load even if you load only one league. Does anyone know where can I get it?

You'll find a Retain Nation Player file HERE, just look for the link "World" download and copy to your edt folder.

Now when you start a new game make sure it is checked in preferences and all players should now be available.

Tried that and can't seem to find the bit in preferences to tick?!

when you start a NEW game, on the left there is an option for EXTRA FILES. Choose it there.

just a bit of advice.

if you are playing on 8.0.1 then you will have to save the ddt file in the following folder

C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Data/Updates/Update 8.0.1/db/801/edt

there you go!
