The one thing that drives me nuts is the hoof.

Why is this happening? I thought it was having too attacking of a mentality, so there would be too many through balls. Then, I thought is was a defensive mentality, they want to clear the ball.

What is making them do this. My passing is short, I want a controlling short passing game.

Why must they hoof?

Anyone figured it out?

What formation are you playing? Also consider forward runs. If your players have noone close enough to pass to then they will just hoof it.

I play a 4-3-3/4-5-1

There should always be the DMC (FR = Rarely) to pass to. I'd always prefer a back pass to the keeper instead of the hoof, it's of course diferent if they're under pressure, but the one that drives me crazy is the "there's no one around, I might as well hoof it"

Would rather that than dallying about with the ball with no one to pass to and get mugged and getting countered.
