I see United playing a 4-4-2 without a tall targetman playing through the wingers. United seem to break 4 first, two FC's and the wingers on attack mode while the two MC's spray the ball about. It also seems they only allow one full-back to overlap, currently its Evra but I think when Neville is back he'll be overlapping as well. Short passing attacks while the defenders seem on a low defensive line.

@442
I agree it's more flowing and no set targetman, but usually rooney and tevez take turns acting as a focal point in attack (most of the time tevez is up front as the center), while one drops back a bit deeper.

i dont want to gate crash but i have developed a tactic based on the "united way" if the thread started is ok with it i could post a link to it here....
its a 4-4-2 with wing backs set to same mentality as center backs (works awesome try it) and leads to excellent full back play. aka united
2 cminds one with slightly lower mentality and one all out attack with united i have these swapping
2 wingers that is aml and amr with free roles also swapping
2 fc's one with lower mentality but full creative freedom and one all out attack forward runs etc. also swapping lol.
i feel this really plays awesome football and regually come up with large winning score lines

| True, when Anderson plays its a little different, a more attacking role.
