Been playing with loads of different tactics, starting loads of new games, but with mediocre prem teams - Blackburn, Reading, Newcastle and Pompey. Found a few tactics that make me think I am invincible, then from February onwards, they just fade away. Anyone come across a tactic that gets mediocre teams such as those above into the champions league in first season, without having to completely revamp their squad?

Some of the tactics on here are great - but they only work consistantly with great teams.

Am I just dreaming thinking its possible to get a dodgy prem team into the champs league in the first season?

I suggest testing tactics for your team by serching throughout this forum. I have found some that have success for some people and not my team, but are still solid tactics. My suggestion though is to start with this tactic. Best one I have found so far for me, lots of shots on goal, but if you don't have the types of players to finish those shots then I would assume it isn't that great. A little leaky defensively, but just from what my team has done.

And my team is probably the 12-15th best in the Prem.

thanks jokers - just made one myself which seems to be ok so far, playing as Blackburn, end of November, and Im second in the league / quarter final of league cup - only lost once so far against Man U away - apart from Europe - where I embarrasingly lost to some team called Matterstak or something! - Will see how it goes, but will post it if it turns out to be any good!
