i'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread but i just wondered does bringing old, experienced players in your squad? particularly if you get promoted

I find experienced players more consistent. You pretty much know what you're getting and you'll probably get more '7's than anything with them. performance for young players seems to vary a bit so its best to mix it up.

I tend to find that older, more experienced players make less foolish mistakes. This should equal conceding less goals.

E.g Sami Hyypia, 33, for my liverpool team was solid as a rock, but Breno make silly mistakes and cost me 2 goals, and he only played in the cup.
