This is my baby (so don't be rude if you don't like it)
it is designed to work with teams of all levels and has as such been tested with such teams tested include:
yeovil
qpr
spurs
man utd
barcelona
plus some others.
it is quite direct but doesn't require big target men, fast players are what i mainly look for with good passers in midfield.
there is only one minor issue with this tactic and that is that occasionally a striker will waltz straight through the middle so if any gurus have a fix for this it would be appreciated. it is minor and happens rarely but is annoying even though they never actually seem to score
it has a back four of 2 cb's and 2 wb's set with the same mentality (4)
2 cm right handed one more defencive i.e. forward runs rarely and mentality lower.
aml + amr (can be set to swap if you have appropriate players) have free roles, i have found that this is effective even with less talented players in lower leagues.
2 fc's that swap positions one with team mentality and one with all out attack
basically i haven't needed to tweak this tactic at all work season after season (now in 2019)
please enjoy and report back here (would be appreciated)
i use the best defenders i can buy i dmid and one attacking but both have to play cm they just have different mentalitys and as i said above i would look for good passing in your cmids.
wingers and strikers pace and the obvious i.e. finishing+composure and dribbling above 15 would help.
wing backs are important in this tactic and really unlock the opposition defence. i look for above 10 in positioning above 15 in acceleration, crossing and tackling (will be a short list)

well tested 4-4-2 (no arrows just exiting 4-42) Post #6
working fine here - used it halfway through a season at Newcastle and ended up winning the Premiership, the following season we've already won the Super Cup and Charity Shield
