Any suggestions how I can score goals from corners? My team has gone one whole season without scoring one
My corner taker's attribute is good and I have some players with very good heading, decision making and jumping stats, but despite this I don't seem to win a header, let alone score!
Any guidance that will help me nick a few goals over the season and turn some draws into victories will be very welcome |
Other people have posted their thoughts on this so search for them and you'll get a few other ideas.
I do this.
DR&DL stay back
DC(1) attack near post
DC(2) attack far post
FC challenge keeper
MC forward (he is really just there to have one of their players mark him as he is a tall player)
Everyone else is either back, or giving a short option or outside the area.
I then have all corners going into the 6 yard box.
I don't know if this is a good tactic but it gets me around 11-15 goals per season so at least it is an improvement on zero.
You should spend more time on corners and free kicks (as I've been doing recently) as it really makes a big points difference come the end of the season. I would estimate that I get an additional 8-10 points per season by focussing more on the set pieces.
