Perhaps a little early to be throwing the towel in, but I want my players to adjust to a new tactic asap. I'm playing as Crewe, first season.
After 3 friendlies, where I lost 3-0 to Werder Bremen, (Fair enough) and also lost 3-0 to Liverpool Reserves (A draw was predicted) and then lost 3-1 to Connah's Quay (I was expected to be 3 or 4 up by half time!) I saw something was definitely up.
The standard 4-4-2 doesn't seem to be doing it. So, what better tactic can someone suggest? Please note I am not playing on a game with a patch or anything, just your standard straight out of the box version.
I assume that my Team Report may be of some help. My best players (Seven Star CA) are new signings Adam Eckersley (Left Back) and Chris Lucketti (Centre Back) as well as Lee Barnard (Striker on loan from Spurs) and Gary Roberts (Centre Midfielder, though equally adept at Defensive Midfield.)
The players with a (Six Star CA) are two more centre backs (Daniel O'Donnell and Chris McCready), Danny Woodwards (A Right Back) and Frazier Campbell (Striker on loan from Man Utd. Then there are a few players with 5 stars but they don't matter much.
As you can see, I am in need of a new keeper (Best is 3 stars) and on the right wing 3 stars is as good as it gets, and on the left the best is a miserable 2 stars. However, I have a strong back four, with 3 good centre backs and full backs, a good defensive midfielder, and two very good strikers.
If any more information is necessary, please just ask. Any suggestions for formation along with Team Instructions and a some ideas in what positions to buy new players in (I have plenty of transfer and wage budget left) would be greatly appreciated.
