I have just really ran out of patience with this game I mean when are ****ing SI going to make this game enjoyable again?
I mean you work full time, come home and think oh I think I'll play FM for abit I don't want nor have I got the time to be arsing about and ****ing tweaking tactics for hours upon end. Maybe some people have and thats great but the tactics in this game are just stupid and unrealistic.
You create a tactic that works great for 4/5 games and then suddenly it goes ****in awful its a complete joke. I think SI have got abit confused because tactics IRL are ALOT less important than in this game. I mean we get no decent documentation to describe in more detail the effect of these ridiculous sliders.
There are just so many variables that could be making your tactic not work but its like a mine field at times trying to establish what it is, it could be somthin little that makes a huge difference but without the time to watch games in full etc its just a headache.
The stupid slider system needs to go and the whole tactics side of things needs simplifying and it needs to be alot less sensitive during matches, they just make too big a impact and its just not enjoyable.
It really makes me laugh when people say oh but its realistic, anyone who says that knows **** all about football and probably plays FM more than actually watching real football! which is probably why so many people till defend they game because they've nothing to compare it against.
I shall wait YET ANOTHER PATCH and unless this makes the game playable its going in the bin.
I think ill be going back to 2007 before long cause 08 is totally messed up and the A.I seem to score 1 in every 3 shots and our teams seem to get 1 in every 4 - 7.
Its all to stressful now.
I know people will turn around and say we'll don't play the game if you cant handle real tactics and so on (they would be wrong)
Target man doesn't even work and a 4 4 2 is unthinkable in this game... really lost its touch.
Yes Millie, broken record but thats just sums this game up lately its just getting worse not better, wheres the difference from FM2007? very little, maybe a new skin other than that its the same ***** from the last version.
A touch vitriolic, but a frustration that is shared by many...
I missed 07, so it was more of a surprise to me than most, i do think however that it is playable.
The tactical piece imo has less to do with the fact that one tactic works for 5 games then stops, and more to do with using 3-4 tactics per game.
Personally i don't think thats too much, the frustration is that no-one really knows for certain how these tactics should be set up, or how to counter the AI.
It makes sense to me that you have a tatic to be balanced, one to chase the game, one to "park the bus" and one to counter attack. Imo all the AI does is switch between a similar set of instructions.
This game is just ****ing ****
