Won Premiership First Season with West Ham with this 4-4-2 Diamond. Please try?
Spent the whole season tinkering with a 4-4-2 Diamond and became happy with it come January of the First Season. Managed to hold on at the top to pip Arsenal and Liverpool on Goal Difference with 21 Wins, 12 Draws and only 5 Defeats.
Needed a draw away at Arsenal last game to win the League and managed a 2-2 draw earlier today. I'm still out of breath!!
Give it a go, it may help people who are struggling.
Details of Tactic are :
WHU HOME V6 JAN 8 TACTIC
My team was :
GK GREEN
RB NEILL
LB McCARTNEY
CB FERDINAND
CB IGNASHEVIC/GABBIDON
RM DYER/GILES BARNES
LM LJUNGBERG/ETHERINGTON
DM MAKOUN/PARKER
AM DYER/BARNES
TM ASHTON/CARLTON COLE
CF JIMMY BRIAND/BELLAMY
Team Instructions are :
MENTALITY ATTACKING
CREATIVE FR NORMAL
PASSING SHORT
TEMPO SLOW
WIDTH NARROW
CLOSING DOWN OWN HALF
TIME WAST RARELY
DEFENSIVE LI NORMAL
TACKLING NORMAL
FOCUS PASSING MIXED
ZONAL MARKING
TARGET MAN SUPPLY TO FEET
USE TARGET MAN
PLAY OFFSIDE
I have Mentality, Creative Freedom, Closing Down and Defensive Line all the same number of clicks.
I also have Passing, Tempo, Width and Time Wasting on the same number of clicks.
My Full Backs, Wide Midfielders, Attacking Midfielder and Strikers are all the same instructions for most instructions such as Mentality, Passing, Creative Freedom and Closing Down. I only really tinker individual instructions for Centre Backs and Defensive Midfielder.
My wide midfielders have a curved arrow to the AM position. Yes it does limit the amount of crosses they make but certainly for Ljungberg and Barnes who were on fire popping up with regular goals and assists.
My Defensive Midfielder has a Farrow to the CM position and I play him as a Playmaker but without the box ticked thanks to earlier tips from others, whilst I have Barrows on my Full Backs. This seems to limit balls catching them out played over the top.
Most of my team picked up great stats in games with the majority picking up regular 8's. The only downside was 6's from the DM but people seem to think there might be a problem with DM ratings. He did a job well though if you watched a game.
I would appreciate any feedback which could help make the tactic better although I hope it helps out any of you who are really struggling.
Well its either a good tactic or im very good with team talks ha, Im playing as liverpool and was at home to man utd, was 2.0 down after 20mins changed to your tactic and ended up winning 5.3 with torres getting all 5, so hopefully it is the tactic and not my team talk lol

Same for home and away? Any screens of match/player insructions??

Yep same home and away. I did have an away tactic slightly more defensive and the Farrows as Barrows on the wide men but it wasn't as effective. My philosophy is score more goals than the opposition and you will win!!
Don't panic if you go behind in games, I came from behind to win several times. If you are running out of time I tended to click mentality, up 5 levels along with closing down and defensive line.
If someone can tell me how to find and upload screenshots I will do.....
Tip of the day is I have T. Nilsson as my Assistant and let him handlr Team Talks. With the Press I just don't comment I find that you can never say the right thing!!
