Default Newcastle.. and owen

Just started with the magpies.. and im not owen's biggest fan really. How much do you reckon i could get for him?

Wanted to free up some funds for zapata and briand

O and also wanted to offload a certain Alan smith.

How much would i get for selling both of these?

P.S i dont want to transfer list them, because if no-one wants them they will be unhappy and play rubbish lol..

Ta in advance

If you dont transfer list them and offer them to other teams, they'll get more unhappy AND they'll start to dislike you. That's a huge problem if you cant sell them for some reason.

If you DO transfer list and then offer them out, they will still get unhappy probably. But in this case they wont dislike you and that's important if you have to keep them.

Anyway, I wont sell Owen tbh. Not in the game. You might not like him irl, but he's awesome in the game. If you do sell him, look for alteast 20M imo. And Fred is better than Briand (who's great too tbh) so I'd look at Fred first. He'll probably win you the league by himself.

Forget Zapata for now. He'll cost you 20M+. Not worth it if you're in your first season and need to strengthen. Buy some good, solid players who dont cost as much. Get Felipe (Udinese), who's an EXCELLENT CB. And he'll cost you about 5M only. Get Ignashevich for free as well. Will give you good cover. Make a few solid signings like there and get Zapata next season when you have more cash.

As for Smith, no idea there mate. But I'd look to get atleast what he's valued at. I did read somewhere though that if you keep him for a season he can be sold for more. Not sure.

Thanks Alot mate

Yeh i have signed Ignashevich, great bargain. I play 4-1-2-2-1... and dont know how effective owen will be as the main CF you see so was just checking my options. But thanks alot

You haven't got any siggestions for a good AMC or AMR or AML have you? Budget approx £8m, maybe more if i sell some players.

Buy Samba as a CB to pair up with Taylor. He'll cost around £1M.

Fred would be a great replacement for Owen, plus he doesn't get injured as much.

AML:- Marcelo £5.5M if he's interested
AMC:- VDV or Fernandez about £10M
AMR:- Menez (who can play in all 3 positions) about £10M

Martins is great upfront btw. Scored about a goal a game and got Newcastle 4th in my 1st season.

Is that 8M total or 8M per person?

AMR - You HAVE to get Belluschi. He's simply phenomenol on the right wing and costs only about 4M in the first season. Value rises dramatically as well after that. Man City bought him in my game in the first season for 4.3M and sold him the next for 18M!

AML - Marcelo is awesome and costs only 5.5M but I doubt he'll want to come to you. Try anyway. Else, you can try for Sebastien Leto, Diego Capel, Angel Di Maria who should all cost much less than 8M. Jeremy Menez is great too but costs a little more at around 9M.

AMC - Not sure here. If you stretch your budget just a tad to 10M, then get Matias Fernandez. He can play on the left wing as well if needed. If you've read around the forums a bit you'll be well familiar with how good he is. Jeremy Menez can play here too. Hatem Ben Arfa is available at around 9M as well and is terrific.

I'm sure I've left some out as well. Oh, and if you want to play a lone striker, then Fred MUST be your choice. He's probably the most complete striker in the game.

Cheers for that Belluschi looks pretty good and i have just put a bid in for him. And was 8m altogether, sorry for not making that clear.

Yeh i have heard all about Matias Fernandez and ben arfa. Will try and raise some funds for fernandex i think.

Cheers for everyone's help
