Default Scouting question

Hi folks,

Just wondering if you can help. I've sent my scout out at Moor Green a few times to look through all the promising players in England.... He always returns with players around the conference mark or non league teams. Never anything higher than that. I've noticed teams like Bradford PA loaning players from all over the league etc.

If I play by the strict rules, I cannot look for players - that's my scouts job. So why does he never come back with anything higher than conference? What am I doing wrong? I thought a search of England would return lots of players up and down the league.

Thanks
Rob

It's long been a bug-bear of LLaMas, the fact we can only loan dross and the other Teams in our Division get EPL guys...and if we try to loan them when their loan runs out they laugh at us.

Scouts scout your Club's reputation, so in the Conference they'll look for guys below your Club's level, right up until you get a huge rep when you've won the Champions' Cup they'll maybe look for guys in the Championship or the EPL.

It sucks, but it's a case of making the decision whether you play LLM or another type of CM/FM.

Probably not the answer you wanted

My guess would be your scout is looking for players that will sign for you according to your club's reputation. So, players from the Third division and higher would not want to sign for a CON N/S club, and you probably don't have the means (i.e money) to attract them anyway.

On the other hand, the club reputation wasn't working properly in the previous versions. Your scouts would still be looking at conference level even if you'd reached the Premiership. Obviouslyi can't know if this is fixed for FM05.
