LLM is about realism, by starting in EPL that is out the window, unless of course your friend is a former football player of international renown who could walk into an EPL job with no prior experience.

Simply by starting in EPL the LLM ethos is so compromised that the guidelines cannot work.

You can always get him to start in the Championship or League one and then go from there... Or just let him play till he fancies a challenge. Personally I'd just leave him to it... HIs loss...
