Ian, are you finding your habit of signing up every two-bit triallist is significantly affected in FM? I'm doing this with my current club and I realise that being 150% over budget I'm going to descend into a financial black hole that not even promotion would reduce. The board ain't doing anything so far, although I'm only in Feb of 2005.

most lower league plaes are on shortterm contracts IRL due to the financial restraints.

At my favorite club (Barnsley) 95% of the suad are on 18mnth contracts or less, but in the game i think there is a bit more stability about the contracts

im my LLM game i had a useless coach and assman, 1 was on a long term contract so i offered him a new 1 year contract with about £20 extra a week so he would accept it and then released him, you could try that...
