I feel your pain. I had found a very good AMRL at some non-league club, who would only sign after his team got promoted to the Conference North (or South, can't recall).
I haven't signed anyone for cash in FM05 yet, as no-one worth more than zero is interested in my side Many free transferred players from higher leagues also turn their noses up at any offer from our team.

Well, since under the threat of being toasted, roasted etc. I am not willing to open a new thread (and since I found this thread appropriate enough), can I ask you how the following is accepted according to the LLaMa spirit:
Me too, I sign relatively good players offering them as much as possible money including different clauses, but I found out that once the player is in the club he is not argueing too much when I offer him a new contract with less money as salary (and even droping out some of the extras like appearance, wage rise etc.). And this way, repeatingly offering new contract, sometimes I manage to lower player's salary twice, triple or even more.
