I have just started my first LLM game, playing with Bognor Regis in Conference South. I'm doing okay, being in 7th place halfway through the season.
I have found though, that loaning players from better teams is kind of important, as I start the game with no transfer funds at all. However, I understand that searching for players that are listed for loan is "wrong" according to the "rules" of LLM. How do I find players that I can loan then? Or am I totally wrong?

By using your scouts to find the players then loaning them.

If I have no scouts then I will use the player search screen but only the ass man unrealistic filter.

Wouldn't it be nice if we were able to assign our scouts to find players that are listed for loan only?`

Perhaps, but then again in real life would a manager actually do this? I imagine there is more a process of scouts noting a good player in a reserve game and reporting back to the manager, before the manager inquiring to see whether or not the player was available on loan.

players in the uk can register on a website called 'free to play' teams can then pay to register and see who available for free.

Though at the end of the day you still have to scout to se if rl matches the CV, or the player matches your squad.

Despite being Dutch, I can't say I consider the Dutch Eerste Divisie league to be LL. Clubs have a massive reputation and money. Too easy.

Sort it out KNVB (The Dutch FA should finally adept an 'indefinite' promotion/relegation system, like they have in Poofland.)

But this listed for loan/tranfer thingy has got me thinking: isn't it natural to believe that a manager in a semi-pro club would have a certain overview over what players in their own league system that is available for loan? Does anybody know if there IRL actaully exists a list over what players that are available for loan/transfer?

I know there are lists of out of contract players and transferlisted players, though I don't know about loan players

I have tried scouting for players now, but my scout never tells about players from league 1 and 2 for example, only players below that. Has this anything to do with my scout, or should I assign to something special?

Your scout is using your club's rep, and his superb skills to find players who he thinks you will be able to attract. You could tell him to scout certain teams or maybe even to scout the leagues around you.
