Never having attempted LLM in the past i read through the rules etc and loaded up Frank to find a team.
Now as a child i had a serious illness leaving me with an aversion to the colour yellow (and a hatred of big bird) so as a rule i have to change the colour of many teams just to be able to play the game (takes days, i dread the release of a new game). For perspective irl i work at the current english champs club shop and cannot bring myself to sell, or even look at, their third shirt.
Frank, knowing my pain, then decided the first three teams he would provide me with would all play in some hideous combination of yellow and other colours so that i would waste ages loading a game i wont be able to play.
id like to think editing the colour would be acceptable but i do feel somewhat cheapened by having to check out the teams before i can start the game properly. And as you say any editing can eventually destroy the save game file.
not really sure what i expect anyone to comment on here, just like other people to feel my pain.
meningitas (spelling) mate, at age of about 2-3months, the doctors think it was linked to that but either way the colour business is gods honest truth. i have never played this game as norwich in any version, cannot bring myself to change the colours to far beyond the original.
Could we not allow you to bend the rules, by using the search option? Load a game, and hit Frank until he gives you a club in the leagues you have running, search the club, see if they play in yellow, (or get a friend to do so on your behalf) and if they do, whack Frank harder till he gives you an acceptible club.

indeed searching the club is the only option. However things get complicated again when it comes to a job offer, unlike the rest of the world i have to firstly consider what colour the team play in before i take them over! often a light blue, red or green on white background can be as bad as yellow (due to brightness, turning the monitor brightness down ruins things).
alas, i am a wierdo who simply cannot be bothered to alter the colours of every obscure team in FM. It appears Frank does hate me, or just has a wicked sense of humour, damn him. I think i will just have to bend the rules as you say and hope the hardcore mob forgive me!
and yes i do hate Coldplay as much as Big Bird and Arsenal's third kit. Dont even ask what colour i used to draw the sun in pictures as a kid....
