Well I've decided to take the helm at Moor Green - not because I follow them with a passion, but because it's literally a 10 minute walk up the road.

That's more than enough - especially if I have to attend training as well.
Season 04/05:
The board expectations are to battle bravely against relegation - by the looks of the players and the appearance of a grey player anytime someone gets a cold, it's going to be a hard season and I'm going to have to get a good scout out and about searching for youth and skill. We have no transfer funds but the wage budget is under and okay!
The scout went to work and we managed to bring in a few players on loan as well as sign a freebie - two of the loaned players (both DC's) I have no idea why I loaned - they looked good before they arrived and then I swear their stats changed the minute they got out of the taxi at the ground. I kept them as there wasn't anything else on offer.
My one good signing was a D/SC - interesting and could provide backup in times of dispair. He started poorly, but eventually provided some useful goals. He also frequently scared the pigeons high up in the stands and made the ball boy work. I was thinking of hiring some of the youths that kept hanging around outside the ground and nicking the balls.
Sold a SC and a MC for a profit which helped keep the books balanced and also gave us a transfer fund.
After a hard season and quite a bit of yo-yoing up and down the places, we manage to finish 15th - a good 7 points clear of trouble. Initially, we were looking good hovering between 7th and 10th, but our form proved a problem and seriously dipped and never returned (This all stemed from a cup run - I now officially hate cups). I'm reasonably happy with this, but wanted more. Problem was, we couldn't defend and we couldn't score. Ah well, we'll have to sort these problems out in pre-season.
Just before everyone departed for a break, I managed to sign two more coaches and a scout that looks good. He'll have his work cut out.
