I've never used it, but I don't see why it wouldn't be in the spirit of the game. Some people here use made-up players. Some might argue it goes against the "realism" ideal, but I don't think it "breaks" any rule.

It's Hull City that's the problem.

I've played with made up players few times and in a couple of online games too.

I find the main problem is the over inclusion of very young players, and young talent. ok so it's the same for all clubs but it can make things a bit tricky.
but after a few seaons things tend to settle down.

Found it works best during online games as it give a totaly level playing field, with no boby using previous knowledge

If you use made-up players, you miss out on the comedy managerial appointments when actual players hang up their boots.

I'm still waiting for SI to get random players right.
There are far too many players with stats totally unsuited to the positions they're actually listed for.
And although I've mentioned it before, it really isn't funny starting a game in Portugal to find that your entire squad have Pace:1 and Acceleration:1.
