Does anyone else think it may be a little too easy to get offered new jobs in FM??

Currently in the conference south, slightly above board expectations, and I have just been offered the post at Ross County who are 3rd in Scotland, Division 1. It was extremely tempting...this was after being offered jobs in division 3 in England and the Conference multiple times (and not applying for any of them). I did have a bit of fun when I declared my interest in a job in the Scottish 3rd division, then they sacked their manager to offer me the job and I turned it down

I also noticed that my reputation has gone from obscure to local. I looked at the manager's reps of the other conf. south clubs, and even the ones above me are still on obscure.

Note: I hope this doesn't come across as bragging.

Any thoughts?

You were being offered jobs in the scotish 1st which comparing the reputation of the respectvive english and scotish league systems sounds about right.

I actually think the job offers situation - at least in my save - is better in FM than in CM03/04. In the previous game I would normally start being offered positions within half a season (in my last 03/04 game when I was playing the N Irish leagues, I was offered a job in the top flight after 12 games :eek: )

Now, after completing my first season with Dorchester, i've been offered two posts. Both League Two positions.

So an improvement in my eyes.

I still think it's a minor issue, it's not like someone's forcing you to take the job. Just reject it and get on with it.

Two-thirds of the way through my second season in Portugal, I'm starting to be regularly linked with open positions in League 2 and below back home. I've probably been offered a half dozen, usually Conf Nat or N/S.

I don't find it too unreasonable that keeping a bunch of no-hopers up in D2B against the odds in Portugal for a couple of years might realistically attract the attention of a Conf N/S side, although a League 2 side might be pushing it a bit. I was getting Second division offers after 3 or 4 months of my first season in 03-04, so it's certainly better than before.

I just finished my 1st season with aldershot (lost in semi final of playoffs :thdn: ) and i got offered the job of Wycombe. I think that job offer came to quick

I'd agree.maybe bit easy to get new job. was managing sligo rovers in irish first division..bad team..ended up 7th but got offered ayr united job which i took.

Now i regret not taking the job in Scotland. The level of skill in the conference north/south is absolutely atrocious. I think i need i psychiatrist!
