My Bellaria team are enjoying a great 1st season however the stadium is very small (3000, 1000 seated) and come promotion time I wondered what you pro LLM people would recomend...Splash and survive or try to make do with the rather rubish, to be perfectly honest, squad who allready take 250k p/a more than what is allowed and risk relegation???

yeah...

did that in cm03/04 with cremonese and it payed of BUT they had a 22000 stadium...the 3000 figure kinda spooks me i guess

Some would call this tipping, I simply call it one of the many choices one can make, not necessarily the wisest though

Open the windows and clean out the house. Just make sure you have eleven guys you can put out on the field, the rest are not necessary. That sorts the finances. Then hope for the best, result-wise, try and get that spot just over the relegation zone. Whenever possible, replace the rubbish you just threw out/sold for nowt with young, talented and cheap youngsters or loanees.

That, at least, is my modus operandi at clubs who would sail straight into bankruptcy otherwise. A safe midtable position, IMO, is worth nothing if it means that you will have to sell your best men next season anyway.

Personally, I'd rather keep a club afloat financially while I hunt/beg for a stadiumn upgrade than shaft the team with no guarantee of safety attached.

I had this scenario in 03/04 and it paid off, courtesy of some budget signings and a couple of decent freebies.

Don't forget, the end of the season is like a car-boot sale full of some absolute bargains.

Financial suicide gets you if you say up or go down.

If you stay up with your lttle squad you can build on it, if you go all out tthe board will give you nothing the following year if you stay up, and most likely the boot if you go down.

How do I cleen out the house without paying massive release clauses??? (i tried the new function mutual agreement but that only made the player mad...not leave...)

Now that would be cheating wouldn't it. What you can do is wait until their contracts expire. Then, there is no compensation payed.

Ok...still kinda living life on the economical edge...get the point about no need for more than 11 player (+1 extra striker in my oppinion, cause someone's then bound to be on form)
