Some would call this tipping, I simply call it one of the many choices one can make, not necessarily the wisest though
Open the windows and clean out the house. Just make sure you have eleven guys you can put out on the field, the rest are not necessary. That sorts the finances. Then hope for the best, result-wise, try and get that spot just over the relegation zone. Whenever possible, replace the rubbish you just threw out/sold for nowt with young, talented and
cheap youngsters or loanees.
That, at least, is my modus operandi at clubs who would sail straight into bankruptcy otherwise. A safe midtable position,
IMO, is worth nothing if it means that you will have to sell your best men next season anyway.
