I work on the basis of 4 strikers maximum with my Conference North team. Two of them are also barely old enough to shave let alone score goals. Keep the costs down that's what I say.
I struggle to fill out my substitutes list for friendlies.

sorry about the lack of clarity...I only have 3(strikers)...20 is the optimal...when I've made it to Serie A and need a goalscoring striker constantly then I feel it necesarry to have a fair few (though mayby not quite 20  )

If the buggers are dumb enough to sign on the dotted line then I take them on.
Wage bill? Pah, let the coats deal with that. If they're mug enough to let me offer their money then hell mend them :cool:

I can just imagine the Harrogate Town board meeting (or the money man's discussion with his accountant).

Dogsbody; "Yes"
Chairman: "Well he's bought 20 new players already, we now have 54 players on our books, we are thousands of pounds overbudget. It's OK though he tells me we are assured of promotion and we'll have lots of money next year"
