Haven't struck this before in any of my games, but I've started as a team in the Ukrainian second division, and our stadium is listed as "Unknown" (thanks, Frank ). So I have no idea how big it is, or whether selling 2500 season tickets is a dismal failure or we're packing them in like sardines.

Has anyone else had a team with an "unknown" stadium? How does this affect the game long-term, in terms of stadium expansions, etc?

As to how it affects the game - it really doesn't affect the game at all; I was in charge of Fenix (Ukraine), and in a couple of seasons a stadium finally emerged (by spontaneous creation), it was about the size of the average crowds in previous years.

Yeah I did do a quick Wikipedia search and the real-life stadium seats about 10,000 - good to know it may spontaneously appear in a few years. Thanks for that.

Good news Sancho. It has always put me off managing at clubs with an "unknown" stadium, so it might try in the future if I quit again

I had an unknown stadium in an LLM Turkish save in FM07. It is strange - I got 1200 for one friendly, but most of my crowds were less than 200.

I've played at unknown stadiums in Norway and possibly Brazil (non league teams in the cup and state championships, IIRC), and there were times their attendances were way higher than my stadium's entire capacity. Most annoying.

It also works the other way, i'm Braintree who play at "Cressing Stadium".

Now, i've been to Cressing and believe me there is no sign of anything that resembles a "Stadium", i seem to recall seeing a field with a few park benches on it and a set of goal posts at either end.
