If i get offered Player A from Team A, can i accept the offer as it is. Or should i get a scout report done first?

I did the scout report first as i wasn't sure. Just for future reference and for new users who are also unsure.

I had this happen but I couldn't scout the player.

I had managed in Brazil for a couple of seasons and when I moved to Italy some of the Brazilian clubs still offered me players.

I decided that this would be something that might happen in real life, in real life you'd ask people you'd made friends with in the previous country if they'd recommend the player. I took a gamble and it paid off.

I would always ask my scout to give me a report.

Perhaps the player's agent / club is offering round a peice of crap just on the off chance some manager doesn't do his homework.

At least in FM2008 I am not recieving hundreds of unrealistic random offers from clubs far far away.

Lol yes I know it didn't work out to well for A player. I was just pointing out that the idea of LLM is to be realistic. I think this is realistic so it's ok.

I've taken a gamble on two players that have been offered to me that I haven't been able to scout. One is a first team regular the other one just about makes the bench and doesn't stop moaning.

Why have you not been able to scout them? Xurely all players should be first scouted before signing for your club.

I'd never sign a player without scouting.

Even the previous mentioned manager at least saw a video of the previous mentioned striker.

I wasnt sure so got the report done. Turns out he was terrible, glad i trusted my instinct.

Scouting the player is the only way, we all know the tale of the manager who signed the supposed cousin of a former world player of the year.

His humiliation is a lesson to us all.
