San Marino are actually in Serie C2/C I think :O

San Marino in Serie C2/C is sanmarinese but they play in the Italian federation...i know its confusing. I loaded San Marino beacuse they have players for cheap and are in the same region. (San marino is a small republic near Lombardia in northern italy). Idk why I loaded the other nations. I just kinda did. San Marino actually has a league but it isnt playable *cough* si. I have no idea what retaining means so I may have done it unknowling.

Apologies for pressing the issue but I still don't think my original question has been answered.

Are you stating that you have playable leagues from both Ghana & The Ivory Coast in your save or did you select these countries in the load all players section when setting up the game?

from what I gather from our Italian friend, he loaded players from these countries, not that there are playable leagues...

That is my guess, however I am not sure if even loading players from these countries can happen?

He's going to have a rather unbalanced game as time goes on.

I loaded all of the players from these countries beacuse I thought that if or once I get Legnano to the top flight and turn them into a Italian giant I could have more players from different areas at my disposal.

Jusso,
when you load players from leagues that are not playable, the game tends to accumulate players from these countries - it becomes a massive immigration event.

I would suggest you restart your match (if you haven't been playing long), and load leagues that are playable without loading extra players from other leagues.
