I would just like to add this into the mix, how about watching games on MOTD?
I recently saw a game that ended 6-5 involving my local rivals. The game/goals would/could have been show on my local TV/news channels.

Due to not knowing the proceedure regarding this i simply left it alone and wished i managed to score 6 in one game.

Am i premitted to view the highlights?

Can you guarantee that the highlights you are watching are actually broadcast IRL?

It is highly unlikely that as in the game every club will have cameras at their games & this is particularly relevant in the lower leagues.

If the game is noted as televised I guess you could watch the highlights. A real life manager could tape the game and watch it so why not be able to in the game. Then if a player catches your eye you scout him to make sure he is Ok.

If the game is not noted as televised then this would be a no no.

Decided to give it a go. Watched an amazing game ending 6-4 with a guy scoring six on his own. I must scout this lad me thinks. Scout come back with smart-ass remark. Guy is grey. Me ****ed and no longer watching games. GRR

It's bad enough at times watching my own team, without putting myself through someone elses carp.

Although I don't see anything wrong in this, I'm with Jimbo, it's the scouts job, it's why I hired them, and why I pay them.

Televised highlights/live matches?

Useless. If you think a scout or manager watches a game in the same way as Joe Public, you're a fool.

A manager or scout will be looking for much more from a match than just what the TV director shows him.

What Michal said. Highlights show 20 minutes of a match maximum, and that's only if it's the main games.

All game do have cameras these days from League Two up, but for most only the goals are showing. Certainly not enough to make a judgement on.
