Gentlemen.... I need your advice/help! My game continually cuts out and I'm not sure what path to go down as I can't waste any more of my life being dissappointed! I'm up to the 4th DEC 2009(not far I know but my the game won't let me get any further!) It doesn't matter how long I play it for every time I go to save the game the 'saving game bar' gets about three quaters through and then my psp crashes!! I started with the autosave feature disabled.. I have FMH2007 and the game+my psp is fine and this doesn't happen on any other game so it's definately FMH2008! I got so frustated that I took the game back to the shop and got them to swap it for a new one... I loaded it and played one game, imagine my excitement when it allowed me to save it!! Unfotunately after that one game it again crashes everytime I attempt to save it... It doesn't matter how long I play it for it just won't manually save!! I have such a cracking team that I don't want to delete it, also I don't want to invest all my time for it to only happen again! But I'm wondering if I have to!?
I'm currently playing as Tottenham, it's now 06DEC09, I've played one game, a few games, several games.. I've played into Jan and even to the end of FEB every time I go to manually save the game it crashes and turns off my psp. I've tried enabling the autosave feature however this was during the game so hasn't helped.

Do you think I need to:-

A. Delete game and start again (i don't want to!) with/without autosave feature
B. Take the game back once again but this time to a different shop!!?
C. Throw the bloody game against a wall!!
D. Something else

try going on holiday for 3months and pick up from there. is there any edited players in the game cos this can cause crashing, also too many logos.duz your memory stick have enough space on it, each save game file gets bigger as you go along so it could crash because theers no room?

are you playing the full retail versioned game or homebrew?

What are the Repercussions of taking holiday for 3 months during the season?? Also what if you take holiday during the January transfer window?? Can you still make transfers??!!

No edited players and no logos, just basic set up. I've also deleted as much as I can from my memory stick, I've also tried saving a new game which it allows me. It's the full retail version...

I have had this problem but not related to saving, I always use autosave so maybe its something to do with that? Mine just appears to be completely random crashing of my PSP.
I DO NOT want to go on holiday for ANY period of time as this defeats the object of playing and anything could happen while i am away!
I have loads of room on my memory stick, no edited players and no logo's.
It is also the full retail version.
I mentioned this in a previous thread and others have the same issue but it remains a mystery, completely ruining my gaming experience and leaving me very disappointed.

I totally feel your pain!! It's really disappointing and very VERY annoying! In my first game/season it crashed randomly a couple of times which was bad enough at the time but looking back now I could probably handle that!! Now however it won't let me save it's getting right on my t@ts! I'm gutted! It was such a good side! I saw your thread.. I didn't know though if someone would be able to give me some idea why it wouldn't let me save! Maybe it is the amount of memory but I've hardly got anything saved on it now!! It is the best game I've played, the psp version is getting better abd better each year and I want to continue with it but it's just causing me grief... Weird talking about a computer game like this.. My girlfriend just doesn't understand!!!

BMFM I think I know what you're talking about!
When you go to save your game, does it start to load the thing to save, then pause up so u just have half-loaded icons (still looking like little cameras)?
That's what I got yesterday and I'm fairly sure it had nothing to do with the memory stick. I just updated my firmware and tested FMH08 out before and it's working fine again. I can't think of what caused it in the first place though...Have you changed firmware recently?
Oh and you said it kept pausing up on the same date- I think Marc would greatly appreciate that save file if it is reproduceable as you say it is
