When they ask outrages prices for a player then try to unsettle him first!
I'm sure they are happy to sell him for much less then.
Btw getting good players cheap isn't so hard, but of course world class players will cost you.
I wouldn't sell my own best players for peanuts neither.

Just tried to buy a CB worth 1.2 mil my scout said he would be a decent EPL CB I made an offer of 1.8 million the asked for 8million up front an 40% sell on clause I offered 5mil the asked 10mil and 40% sell in WTF nearly 10x his value so I thought he must be a wonderkid re-gen so I checked with mini scout and his PA was only 138 he wasn't playing for the team so why did they want such an extortionate fee.

I was playing Havant & Waterlooville and I put an enquiry for a GK at a non-league team.His value was set at 1k and was listed as a squad rotation player so I though I could get him for cheap but they wanted 1.75m for him.Thats realistic

I think personally that transfer money people pay for some players does get ridiculous after a few seasons.
