completely off topic but in all screenshots everyone has a black background and mine is white which has got borin how can i change it?

locate the "default" background in whichever skin you are using, and replace it with this.

don't change the name unless you know how to edit .xml files, just plonk it in the folder and click yes to overwrite.

Ok,so i've d/l the db and put that in the db folder,and done the same with the game and put that in the game folder etc,and it still doesn't work any ideas.

it should work if they are both in the My Documents folder, tbh. you should see the game in the "load game" screen straight away. restart the game and look again.

i've played other peoples games before, so it should recognize that my database is present.

Yep it sure does have the game listed in the saved games,but when i go to load it,it isn't happening.

strange, because if it didn't find the db, a message would pop up saying so.

try starting a game with my db and see if it is there. if it is, start one up (unless it takes ages to do so), then once you're in the new game, load from there.

Ok,i take it the game starts up with a default db,and to make your game work i need to change to your db,could you advise me how to change db.

you should have a choice when you start a new game. in the drop down menu when you click start new game, you should click on the database bar and it will show all available db files.
