It remembers where they are when playing the game, it all resets when the skin or the game is reloaded though. I've only had a brief look and assumed there was no way to save the changes. Are you telling me there is a way?
Yeah, that's what I thought it would do. I don't think there's a way of remembering their positions between sessions.

Great discovery JA, and apt title as well.

For some reason, it doesn't appeal to me much beyond the level of curiosity though. Partly, I think, is the colour scheme which I find too heavy if you can understand what a mean. I love the light, refined look of the elegance range and it would be nice to see this implemented in Drift alongside the functionality of the movable panels.

I also think the gaps between the panels make it less pleasing on the eye, though they may be inevitable given the nature of the skin. It means that the game screen is more like a Windows Desktop rather than a complete unit - not too sure there's a way of mitigating this though.

KUTGW anyway.

Like it - very widgety.

I can imagine it being a pain though getting a setup you like then having to move everything again when you restart. I actually like the way it looks separated. More like a workspace - nice and airy.

Kind of agree that it is more likely a proof of concept than something useful, but I respect that in skinning above anything else - Individuality and trying something new.

Cheers, personally I can sit for hours moving the widgets around for fun, might just be me though But it's a fair point, it can be a pain to move everything around when you just load up the game for a quick session of FM even if it only takes a minute to move the panels.

If someone finds a layout he's very happy with it's very easy to make it into a default layout though, as all the panels and their positions are defined in global panels.xml. So it's as easy as switching side of the tree in any other skin really.

Ando - It's a bit dark, yeah. It will stay that way for this release but I may very well release different coloured variations when I'm done with this, and hopefully some other people will join in.

The gaps are kind of what I was going for. It's very possible to make a more "solid" skin with floating panels, but I'm going for the konfabulator/OSX dashboard look for this one.

Ozzie - The widget that says "july" will include the whole date. I'm just praying there is a way to get the date and year seperatly so I can make it the way I want

Willz - Only the titlebar panel changes colour.

Ter - Yeah, that's what I thought Maybe a feature worth looking into for the future?

I think a lot of people will love it, and it is certainly a very interesting development in the skinning world. As with all things graphical, it comes down to personal taste and mine tends toward a more solid, holistic GUI. But good luck with the skin.

I'm sure it would be an easy enough addition to make

very cool, it's the most unique thing in skinning i've seen done in a while, well spied also like the idea that it's a workspace, and so something that looks very mac like would suit well
